Antigua and Barbuda Trail and Swim Fest

Set to debut on April 19 to 20th, 2025, the Antigua & Barbuda Trail & Swim Fest promises to be an exciting new event that celebrates sportsmanship, endurance, and community, set against the breathtaking backdrop of one of Antigua and Barbuda.

Combining trail running with open-water swimming, this festival offers a unique opportunity for athletes of all levels to test their skills and push their limits while connecting with nature, culture, and other competitors from around the globe. Runners can experience Antigua’s rugged coastal trails, explore its tropical forests, and race through some of the most scenic landscapes on the island, before diving into the crystal-clear waters of Carlisle and Morris Bay.

The Trail & Swim Fest is an offshoot of the long-standing AUA Rohrman, a multi-event race that has attracted endurance athletes from across the globe to Antigua and Barbuda. Last year’s winner, former Olympian David Hauss, has raised the bar of AUA Rohrman as a sporting event, attracting the endurance sports community’s attention and elevating Antigua and Barbuda as a top destination for the sport.

However, at its core, the festival is about more than just competition. It is a celebration of community, as residents and visitors come together to share in the joy of sports and environmental stewardship, creating a sense of unity and purpose among participants. The event will feature triathlon events for children aged 3-15 and trails suitable even for casual walkers.

This inaugural event sets the stage for future growth of sporting events in the region, aiming to become a fixture on the Caribbean sports calendar. Antigua & Barbuda Trail & Swim Fest serves as an invitation to challenge yourself, celebrate the island’s natural beauty, and experience the true meaning of sportsmanship in the heart of the Caribbean.
